Description
Jorge started to help his dad on a coffee farm when he was 10 years old. When he was 16, his father sadly passed away and Jorge became responsible for his mother and 11 siblings. It was a very rough time for coffee growers at that time, as the price for beans were very low and Honduras was also experiencing really strong waves of a leaf rust. Fortunately, Jorge has never gave up and after several years of hard work, he started to achieve better and larger yields. He was capable of investing back in the farm and to improve his growing techniques. Today he helps other farmers to stock process their coffee in the processing area that he has build.
